Right then ... Let's see if I can get into the habit of writing Blogs . Again!
I'll start off with a quick recap from the last blog. Starting with the Rallyist at the First round of the British Rally Championship, The Legend Fires North West Stages and the invite to by Garstang Town Council to set up my Trade stand in Garstang town center. (out Side the local Chemist and Booths no less) not my usual locale, but change is always refreshing. The Rallyist trade stand has been at the North West Stages for the larger part of 14 years. As for the British Rally Championship, that goes back ever further back. 2005/6 with very early Cartoons in event programs and later (with both a new trade stand and a new book) as a regular at the Pirelli Rally...
Being in a public rather than totally Rallying environment was different. Visitors to the stand ranged from the Puzzled to the Curious. Not that many Rally team visitors, no doubt busy else where. The artwork was well received, and it has to be said I did sell a couple of copies of Rallyist Remastered, Rallyist 1&2, some prints and the New Colouring book (wider appeal), sold well.
Thank You Legend Fires North West Stages, and Garstang Council.
More Recently ....
Earlier this month I came across the a Rally Event. An event with a name that could only fire the imagination of a Rally Cartoonist and therefore inspire a cartoon. Especially coming as it has on the back the the TV series 1883 also Yellowstone, and lets not forget the game Red Dead Redemption 2.
The Oregon Trail Rally, May 17-19 2024! ...
The 2024 Oregon Trail Rally is the fourth round of the American Rally Association (ARA) National Championship. The cartoon was posted through the Oregon Trail Rally Group.
Some great photos and videos to be found on this page.
The cartoon received very positive feed back. Could it be The Rallyist, Rallyist-Art and Rallyist Remastered has found access to a whole new Rallying Audience?
Next Edition Rallyist350 update.
